How Online Tutoring Works:
- Step 1: Live tutoring takes place through Skype. You will need to download Skype if you haven’t already (Don’t worry. It’s free.) Once you have a Skype id, please add ChatSELVA to your friend list.
- Step 2: You may pay through PayPal using the purchase button
below. Please specify during checkout the date and time you would like to hold the tutoring session. If you aren’t sure yet, you may email us at TheSELVA@live.com with a time and date later. - Step 3: You’re set! We will send you an approval confirmation email and a reminder email the morning of the tutoring session. When it’s time for the tutoring session, I will send you a message through Skype to begin the session. You must be logged on to Skype in order to receive the message and attend the tutoring session.
Student’s Checklist:
- Loud speakers
- Clear microphone
- Fast internet connection
- Skype id
- To make the most of your tutoring session, have questions (if you have any) ready beforehand. You may even send your questions using the form at the bottom of this page a day or two before if you like.
Additional Information: Cams are optional for students 18 and older and will not be used for students 17 and younger. Also, tutors are not required to use cams.

Assignment & Report Review
How is Assignment & Report Review Different From Live Tutoring?
You don’t have to be present for assignment and report review like you do during live tutoring. Just email your assignment or report to TheSELVA@live.com. Then we will begin reviewing your assignment. We highlight any corrections and at the end, summarize which areas you should improve. For an additional $3 per page for report review we can explain the corrections in detail.
Rates:
Spanish Report Review:
You may send your report in Microsoft Word or PDF. Top margins should be default of 1 inch and side margins should be default of 1.25 inches or greater. Font should be 11 or greater.
- $10 per page in basic Microsoft Word format, single spaced
- $13 per page in basic Microsoft Word format, single spaced, corrections explained
- $7 per page in basic Microsoft Word format, double spaced
- $10 per page in basic Microsoft Word format, double spaced, corrections explained
